We’ve completely rebuilt the Knowledge Base system on our own platform to provide you with better performance, accuracy, and security.

Why the change?

Previously, we partnered with Carbon.ai for the Knowledge Base system.

Now, we’ve created a better system that is managed by our in-house team, offering latest embedding models with:

  • A better retrieval process that helps the AI model to deliver more accurate responses.
  • A more secure and private solution for storing your data, fully integrated into our platform for better control and flexibility.

What’s new in the new Knowledge Base system?

Here are the key highlights of our new Knowledge Base system:

1. Improve your experience with the new user interface

A completely redesigned interface makes it easier than ever to manage and organize your data:

  • Re-arrange the workspace for easier navigation.
  • Re-organize the connected data into folders so you can manage and update data sources easier.
  • Improve knowledge base processing messages on the end-user chat interface.

2. Better cite sources with links

When you enable “Show reference sources of training documents to users”, the system can cite sources with clickable links. This helps users to trace the origin of the AI’s responses to provide more transparency and reliability in the generated responses.

3. Support for multiple connections

Connect multiple data sources to your Knowledge Base at the same time, including file uploads, web scraping, Google Drive, Notion, GitHub. (more integrations coming soon).

Each connection is organized into folders, which allows you to manage your sources and make updates more efficiently.

4. Upgrade retrieval technology

Our system now uses the latest embedding models and an improved retrieval pipeline, which allows you to achieve significantly better accuracy and relevance answers with faster lookup and response times.

5. New integration version

New integration version for File Uploads, Github, Google Drive, Notion, and more - this is an improved system that prioritizes the stability and efficiency when you connect with your data from multiple sources.

What happened to your previously connected data?

If you had connected data in the previous system, it has been moved to a “Migrated” folder in your Knowledge Base.

Please note that this folder will not update automatically. To keep your data up-to-date, you’ll need to reconnect those sources using the new integration version (if available).

What you need to do now?

To get started with the new system, you’ll need to reconnect them using the new system to keep your data automatically updated:

  • Log into the Admin Panel
  • Access Knowledge Base
  • Add Data Source
  • Select your source and the data you want to connect

A: No, the pricing and usage limits remain the same. And the new system is significantly better and will continue to improve with new integrations and advanced technology.

Q: What happens if I don’t reconnect my integrations?

A: Previously connected data will remain in your “Migrated” folder, but it won’t auto-update until you reconnect your integrations.

Q: The new system does not provide the sources that I connected previously, what happen to those connected data?

A: If the new system does not show the sources you previously connected, don’t worry—your data hasn’t been lost. All previously connected data has been moved to a "Migrated" folder in your Knowledge Base.

However, to keep your data automatically updated, you’ll need to reconnect those sources using the new integration version. Once reconnected, your data will stay synced and up to date.

You can now integrate file uploads, web scraping, Google Drive, Github and Notion.

Q: Will all previously supported data sources be available in the future?

A: Yes, we aim to support as many data sources as possible and are actively working on expanding integration options in the new system. It will be available in the next few weeks.

Q: How does the new system improve performance?

A: The retrieval pipeline now uses the latest embedding model and internal optimization for retrieval pipeline, thus significantly improving accuracy and relevance when fetching information.
